Alessia Cara – Know It All Tour (Montreal)

Alessia Cara blew the roof off of Montreal’s Corona Theatre to start off her first ever tour. At only 17 she sang every single song from her brand new album in front of thousands of crazy fans. It’s like Alessia’s been performing for decades, I sure couldn’t tell she was just starting out this new North American tour. She’s got a voice like no other and she makes it all look so effortless, it’s impressive. The girl jumped on stage in distressed black jeans, a simple t-shirt with the title to her first single ”Here” in the back and her famous beanie on. It was so refreshing to see her be so simple with her performance yet manage to blow our minds with her presence and talent. Goes to show that you don’t need to go over-the-top to make your audience have a good time! It was really all about how much fun she was having with all of us and how passionate and talented she was. Her opening act just so happens to be …

Miley Cyrus and her dead petz – Boston

Think crazy and then triple whatever you have in mind and you’re not even close to what Miley’s new tour is like (or what went through my head when I decided to hit the road, cross the boarder and go celebrate my birthday in Boston to see her concert). Miley’s just the right amount of crazy and fweaky. She’s beautifully provocative! If you’re looking for an eye-opener kind of experience; the milky milky tour is for you! It’s really all about breaking down stereotypes and overcoming judgements through crazy songs, outfits and choreographies. Miley is still the same talented artist with a crazy strong voice, she even still wears wigs! She just so happens to also wear a unicorn strap-on at some point through the concert and if that makes you uncomfortable maybe you should stay home… Seriously!! Open minded people only!! You can listen to her new album for free to get ready for your next concert. Don’t miss out on seeing Miley live!! FRED **if ever you’re wondering what I want for christmas …

One Direction – On The Road Again Tour (Montreal + Ottawa)

If it wasn’t for both concerts being exactly the same I would be writing a blog post for each, but the vibes were so different I don’t even know how I’m going to be writing this… This is the thing about this tour; every concert is just so different from the others while still being the same! The guys are giving each other so much free time to interact with the fans, it makes every nigh different. The Montreal concert took place in one of these big stadiums that aren’t really made for concerts… The sound was “ok”, not that you would’ve heard the guys over all the screaming fans anyways. The Ottawa concert took place in one of those new (and super small) arenas where the sound is amazing. It felt so much more personal! If I could give the guys one advice it would be to stick to arenas, they’re that much better for the fans! As for the concert, it was a blast! The guys sure know how to interact with fans …

THE VAMPS – NYC

Today was everything but relaxing; from waking up extra early to get to the airport to a cancelled flight, another one delayed for more than 6 hours, a shared taxi ride from LaGuardia to Times Square, a frantic run through Time Square to find the BestBuy Theatre and, finally, The Vamps’ concert… Im gonna need a few years of sleep (or a few drinks) but it was more than worth it! Although, probably because I dont run very fast, I missed the first few songs The Vamps performed, I heard well enough to tell you guys that they are extremely talented. Each of them played many instruments through the night and they took turns letting the fans hear their beautiful voices. The guys also performed lots of great covers that got the crowd screaming even louder then it already was! They put on the kind of concert that you could see over and over again and never get bored of and it’s probably because they put so much energy into performing for their fans. Oh …

Taylor Swift -1989 World Tour (Montreal)

Sometimes spur of the moment decisions bring you down unknown paths to great adventures. Last night, Taylor Swift’s extra long catwalk stood as my unknown path; one of the greatest paths I’ve ever traveled! Everyone has a favourite Taylor Swift song, or thousands, and there’s nothing more beautiful than when 15 000 people sing those songs together. This may seem like a lot but Im pretty sure there was more spotlights on that stage than people in the room. That says a lot about the concert! I hadn’t seen such a big, complex and flamboyant stage in a really long time. The installations were crazy! The concert itself was dazzling; there were tens of dancers, choristers and band members, crazy videography and pyrotechnic and tons of outfit changes each more beautiful (and sparkly) than the others. For more than 2 hours, Taylor was running around, dancing and singing giving each and every single person in the room the time of their life! Keeping the fans up on their feet, she sang some of her biggest …

Tori Kelly – Were I Belong Tour (Toronto)

Tori Kelly has been the talk of the music industry for the past few weeks because of her new album and all those amazing live performances she recently did. It was time people acknowledge her ever-growing talent! Her concert in Toronto at the Phenix theatre was her first concert since the release of Unbreakable Smile and I could have never asked for more. The fans already knew the lyrics to Tori’s new songs and the energy in the room was on another level. It was crazy! I don’t think anyone could ever prepare themselves for just how amazing Tori is live. Her voice is pure and powerful, her talent is raw and her stage presence is unrivalled! It’s an out of this world experience! Although this tour is almost over, it’s only the beginning for Tori. There’s so much more amazing things coming her way and I will be there every step of the way! Keep checking her website for new tour dates! Trust me, you don’t want to miss such a great concert, FRED
