Demi World Tour – Montreal

Oh Demi…
I wish I could thank her for creating and putting on such an empowering and inspiring concert! It was simply an amazing night! Demi described her concert as a big group therapy session where you can just let go, have fun and find a better you and no other words could describe it better…

Demi’s voice was powerful from the first song to the last one and never have I felt like she was lip-syncing. She interacted with the crowd and even went from crying to laughing with everybody at the Bell Centre. Her concert is perfectly balanced going from rock songs to more popish ones while still taking time to sit down a bit to get more personal with everybody. Demi gushed about being shy to show her arms and play piano alone at concerts yet she said this tour was so everybody could outdo themselves and so she conquers her fears every night in front of thousands of people!

You don’t want to miss this amazing concert where you can really just LEt It Go and find your inner Warrior through all those Neon Lights! (See what I did there) So get your tickets now!!

I felt more beautiful and confident at that concert than I have ever felt in my entire life… thank you Demi!

Cody Simpson – Wasting Time (Live) (Jack Johnson Cover)

Mister Cody Simpson is back! Did he ever even leave?
If you haven’t been following him around for the last few months you probably think this new Jack Johnson cover he just uploaded is different, it is! No doubt, but damn is it good!

The song Cody chose to cover fits him well and the few changes he did to it make it even better and sexier than the original. (Im not just saying that because it’s one of my favourite Jack Johnson songs…) Cody’s voice sounds strong and he’s really showing off those guitar skills he’s been working on!

This new cover really makes the wait for new Cody material worth it; if it’s only a 10th as good as this, its going to be PERFECT!

RIXTON: New Music Video – Wait On Me

Are you just as in love with Rixton as I am? You should be!
Not only am I in love with the band but Im also very much newly in love with their new music video! It looks classy while still being funny and cute! How do they even do it?

Jake has the lead role in the video but I would’ve LOVED to see a lot more of the other guys… I mean, they are just as cute!!

Take a look at the video and tell me what you think!
Also, go grab the song on iTunes and stay tuned for the guys’ new album coming out in January!

New Found Love – Scott Helman

I stumbled across an acoustic video from Scott Helman yesterday on Facebook and as soon as the music started and he started singing I regretted pressing play… I just knew I would have to look up every other songs that he had ever put up on youtube.

Scott is from Toronto/Canada and, according to his website, artists such as Nirvana, Ray LaMontagne, Neil Young, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan and Keaton Henson inspire him! It was actually after listening to The Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd that Scott realized that he “wanted to spend the rest of his life trying to make something half as good as this.”

His voice sounds amazing & his lyrics are well thought out and mature; his music is simply delightful! With some hints of rock, a little bit of soul and just a tinny bit of pop, I think everyone can find something to like about Scott. Don’t be fouled by his young looks, his music suits a ton of different audiences!

I spent the night listening to his music and I already have favourites. I fell in love with his Riptide by Vance Joy cover and an original song by him called Cry Cry Cry! And just when you think things about Scott can’t get better, when you sign up to his mailing list on his website you can 3 free songs including Cry Cry Cry.

If you’re from the Toronto area and you’re 19 or older, make sure you go check out Scott’s concert at the Cameron House! For more details, check out his website, his twitter or his Facebook page!

I hope you’ll love his music as much as I do!
I can’t wait for Scott to come do a concert in Montreal,

The New Cody Simpson – Montreal Concert

Meet the new Cody Simpson, a grown up, more mature and even more talented young man as the one you already knew. The 17 year old singer/song-writer reinvented himself and it worked. The young man I saw performing live at the Montreal Metropolis a few days ago was grown up, more mature and even more talented than the one I had seen just 6 months ago on his acoustic tour.

Cody Still sang a few of his old songs but he changed them, he made them sound more mature and it felt like they represented him a little more. Frankly, I think they sound much better now! He also covered great songs from artists such as Elvis & Justin Timberlake… He really knows how to reach out to all kinds of audiences, the parents in the room were having as much fun as their kids!

Cody really did reinvent himself for the better. I’ve always been a big fan of his because he has always been a very talented and down to heart man but this finally feels like the real Cody. It’s like he finally found the real him. To be completely honest, I think he always knew that was the sound he wanted to be affiliated with but that he finally just had the courage to fully come out with it. Nothing felt out of place or a little uncomfortable for Cody. It wasn’t too pop-ish and the blues vibes Cody integrated to his set really did put everything together perfectly. It felt right and I think Cody definitely should keep growing into more of a blues man. What he is bringing to the music industry as a 17 years old is unseen, he is talented, passionate and I think he can only keep growing into the man he really wants to be. This new side of him is going to attract a lot more older fans and I hope that then he will finally get the recognition he deserves! This is him; it feels real, it sounds great, its perfect! Now, the only thing that scares me is if the fans are going to mature alongside him…

Unfortunately, I think the fans in Montreal didn’t evolve as Cody did. While he was on stage telling everyone how he had changed and how he wanted to show the fans a new and more mature side of him and his music the fans were screaming endlessly. Don’t get me wrong, concerts are always loud in Montreal and its fine but I think it would only have been respectful and normal to listen to what Cody was putting on the table that night. His old songs now sound more bluesy and the new ones are much more mature and down to earth and I would’ve loved to get the chance to give those pieces a good listen. I personally think Montreal was and will always be too loud for the new vibes Cody is coming up with. He was showing talent and emotions but unfortunately Montreal was taking over him and, as beautiful as a crowd sounds when they are singing along to a song, you couldn’t hear Cody and the modifications he did to his old songs. Cody’s new music needs to be enjoyed and I couldn’t enjoy it to the fullest while the fans were going crazy like that. Maybe they didn’t mature fast enough for Cody but I hope they realize that and try to ”sit back, relax” next time he comes to town…

As of me, I will definitely jump in my car and drive to the United States to catch Cody in concert there and try to really enjoy the music. The fans shouldn’t take this personally but from my previous experiences concerts over there aren’t as loud as in Canada… (Bring on the competition guys)

Give the new Cody Simpson a try and buy some tickets for one (or more) of his upcoming shows and go buy the new songs he will be putting out soon. The vibe Cody is bring to teenage music right now is new and I really hope people will love it and give it a chance. I can’t wait to see where his hard work and new vibes will bring him in the future. This is only the beginning, he can only go up from here. I am positive that in a few years Cody will be playing much bigger venues and I will be there, first row, singing along to all of his songs!

It’s just him, his guitar, his band & chill vibes. Check it out!

Ariana Grande’s new album leaked and it’s amazing!

Ariana Grande’s new album, My Everything, leaked and it sounds AMAZING!!

It contains Ariana’s hit songs Problem, Break Free and Best Mistake featuring some of the hottest artists at the moment but the fans seem to be going crazy for all the new songs it also contains. Go check it out and tell me which ones are your favourites?!

Frankly, I am in love with Just A Little Bit Of Your Heart which was written by One Direction’s Harry Styles but I think I might just be a little tiny bit influenced by all the talk there is about this song on Twitter. ;)

You can find all of Ariana’s new songs all over Tumblr but here is a link that should help you a lot…

I also want to congratulate Ariana on being the first female artist to have three songs in the top six of the charts at the same time. The last artist to do such a thing was Michael Jackson in 2009, if that doesn’t make you want to give a listen to her album then I don’t know what will…

Don’t forget to buy My Everything on iTunes Sunday at midnight,
you wouldn’t want to miss out on this great back to school soundtrack!!!!
